In Her Skin by Kim Savage

5.0

I picked this up hoping for a quick crime story, Law and Order style. While it did turn out to be a quick read, it was so much more than just a one-off criminal mystery.

Every character is flawed yet likable, and you’re never sure which way you want things to end up. It’s about figuring out and remember who you are, and what it means to be that person, but with so many twists along the way.

The main character is bi, but that’s in no way part of the character’s troubles. It’s simply another characteristic of this incredibly messy character.

This book definitely satisfied my search for an unsettling crime, while also questioning every character and even myself along the way. What DOES it mean to be you?
