This is a good Star Wars. It's got all the right Star Wars stuff in it - misfit crews, impossible tasks, fights. The writing and characterization is great - Claudia Gray continues to be one of the best writers currently putting out Star Wars stories. I ended up really enjoying that the story is centered upon a single location as well, it helped the immersion of the story.

The only real place this book let me down was in how dense the characters are at times, with regards to one specific threat:

the life stealing, force blinding creatures smuggled onboard the station.

Even though the characters should learn from previous mistakes and nearly having the answer to the mystery shoved right in their face, they don't.

I get it, I get why it's written this way. It speaks to the pride and vanity of the Jedi, but at the same time, it was frustrating when it seemed so so so obvious to the reader what needed to be done.
