This is the first story I ever shared. It has issues. It needs editing and the head hopping needs sorting out. One day I will get around to doing just that.
It has a special place in my heart though, because Tristan is my first real character. By real I mean he has a life, a back story, a history, a personality with quirks and faults; he has a future too.

The Halloween Incident was part of Tristan's story that was never supposed to be shared. Tristan first appeared in my head as a much older man. Then Danny came along, and their story had to be told in full and not just as back notes and foot notes and scribbles in books as I wrote Tristan's future.

More of Tristan's past is also revealed in "Dazzled by the Light", a novella about his last year in High School. The next time Tristan appears will be where I first met him. I never set out to write a trilogy, and it's not really: it's just three glimpses of this character's life and perhaps a glimpse into how I create a story.
