The Secret History by Donna Tartt
Ignore my star rating. This is what I think of this book.
I adored this book. It taught me so much in literature and Greek culture and history, and I'm very glad that I've read it. This novel also made me laugh, cry, and ill at ease. The first half was definitely my favourite part, and I found myself a little frustrated at the pace and monotony of the second half at first. It was justified at the end, but this is what would make me rate this book 4 stars instead of 5. If that makes someone less likely to consider reading this book, then I think the 5 star system is bollocks.
