I gotta be honest, the first third of this book had me rolling my eyes a bit. The instant mutual sexual attraction that gets them hard and wet? Really? It felt pretty over the top, especially with Rowan being so incredibly in denial and acting all cold. It was hard to take it seriously at first.
But then I hit the halfway mark, and I found myself kinda hooked. Rowan is clearly head over heels for Zahra, and he's the only one who doesn't see it. It's pretty funny and cute watching him stumble around his feelings. The dynamic between them really started to grow on me.
The spicy scenes were okay, but a bit inconsistent. They'd go from very sensual to suddenly finished.
One of my favorite parts was how Rowan had to really wallow and work for Zahra’s forgiveness. It wasn't one of those situations where everything is forgiven in a single page. He had to earn it, and that made the story feel more genuine and satisfying.
And can we talk about Ani? She's such an adorable character! I absolutely loved her. But Rowan's brothers? Ugh. So unlikable. I’m supposed to look forward to their books, but right now, I'm not feeling it.

Overall, it took a bit to get into, but once the story found its stride, it was a pretty enjoyable read. Rowan and Zahra’s journey had its charming moments, and the payoff was worth it.
