I was a little worried that the new location wouldn't be as good of a setting as the first book's was, but it turned out that I was worrying for nothing. With mysteries like this, it adds a little more ✨flavor✨ when all the characters are stuck together under the same roof.

I think the pacing of this story was better than the first. There were more significant/memorable events that happened throughout, and they were placed perfectly to keep the plot moving at a good speed. And again, the climax. So, so good. One of the best things this series does is make sure that scenes are intense when they need to be, while also not feeling out of place in the overall narrative. It's believable for the story you're reading, but it's also really exciting.

Even though most of the supporting cast was different this time (for obvious reasons) they were just as interesting, maybe even more so. Our two MCs are back and they continue to work really well together. Of course, I was also incredibly happy to see the return of one of the most complex and iconic supporting characters
