The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi

So it had a really interesting and exciting premise to start , the characters was likeable and every character was funny in the book context , speaking of humour the comedy in this book was partly hit and partly miss for me ,some comments by the characters made me crack others made me cringe so that's that.

But as for the story, the story isn't that big or overaching or thrilling or anything like that ,it was like a side simple subplot of a fantasy nove, like Frodo and his Friends meeting Tom Bombadil. But the book was fun but not so fun, I can tell that this book could kinda wanna make you read something more intricate and epic in scope I mean Kaiju's are massive but I'm saying in the context of a story but I was kinda disappointed with this book when I got into it expecting some Jurassic level things but what I got was not it. Then the audiobook included his acknowledgements and stuff at the end and I listened to it for the sake of finishing it whole and lazy for pressing the pause button. And on that he said I quote.

"It’s a pop song. It’s meant to be light and catchy, with three minutes of hooks and choruses for you to sing along with, and then you’re done and you go on with your day, hopefully with a smile on your face"

We after hearing this I thought it has done what it meant to be done.....
