A wonderfully researched and informative history of the 245 years of Plantagenet rule.
I have read nearly all the books Dan Jones has released and enjoyed every one, but this is the first that I have listened too via audiobook.
Narrated by DJ, he writes (reads) in a knowledgeable yet entirely accessible way. He really brings the history to life, and what a history it is! You can absolutely see why many fantasy writers look to the English for inspiration (George RR Martin famously bases his Game of Thrones series on the Wars of the Roses). Full of drama, intrigue and some downright appalling ruling (Looking at you Richard II), the time listening to this flew by and I enjoyed every second.
