Relationships in this book are not developed, they just appear out of thin air. The author even points this out herself that the main character doesn't understand why someone acts as if they are friends even though she doesn't know their name. This is somewhat explained after 2/3s of the book since it was
a coma dream
. This plot twist still leaves a lot to be desired.

The protagonist herself is a famous marriage therapist but is terrible at communication and relationships. This doesn't add up for me.

It also gets a little woo woo when the main character who considers herself a woman of science turns to a psychic to figure out her life.

Beautiful cover tough.

Thanks to Kensington for an advance reader copy of this book.
