Another decent adventure novel from the master of the genre. This is a good, but not so original of an idea. ERB does put his own spin on it though. I liked the story, but he doesn't give it the attention he gives to the Martian or Tarzan novels. He doesn't dive in as much to the personalities of the characters or to the denizens of Caspak. Usually once they see a threat they immediately kill it and not much else is said. Each danger passes so quickly by shooting it with guns. Other than that it is an enjoyable and quick read.
