Jonas is an alternative hotel owner, opening up at the coastal areas of Iceland. The hotel offers spirituality in all forms and a great variety of employees are hired. Thora is his lawyer, and when Jonas wants to send a legal claim due to missing information prior to sales, she accepts the offer of a weekend at the hotel. Her kids are at her ex-husbands place, but she's soon followed by a German fancying her. The day of her arrival, a woman is found dead in the area and Thora sets out to investigate. Of course. She rolls up internal conflicts, family history and relations, the history of the area and adds a bit of creativity, lies and withholding of information. Add the family drama and the German, and the mess is complete for her hotel week.

I don't know why, but there's always a ghost/something supernatural in all Icelandic books/movies I read/watch. Unfortunately, not even the ghosts could save this book from an annoying main character with a personality/traits I hope I never meet in reality. To much personal drama and to much stupidity not adding to the story. Characters are to stereotyped and.. just don't read it.
