Auren & Commander Rip: OMG… this slow burn is killing me!!! -5 Stars

Book two picks up where Book One left off. Auren and her party are taken prisoner by the Commander Rip of the Fourth Kingdom that serves “King Rot”. Much to everyone else’s chagrin, Auren is given free reign on the camp to walkabout as she pleases. Shocked at her newfound “freedom”, she meets the soldiers of King Rot and the begin to form an understanding and sense of camaraderie. Auren is really starting to see things more clearly, as Commander Rip slowly opens her eyes to Midas’s controlling ways. Auren is changing and these new feelings she is experienced has her conflicted.

There was a lot to unpack in book two and I don’t want to spoil it for those into the series. I’ll just say the revelation at the end of this book just brought about MORE questions than I already had. The story sucks you and the chemistry between Rip and Auren is electrifying! Looking forward to continuing the series!

Happy reading!
