Scales & Scoundrels Book 1: Where Dragons Wander by Sebastian Girner
4.5
I really loved this comic. The plot was great, the characters and relationships compelling and the worldbuilding intriguing (if underdeveloped). It's also beautifully illustrated and brilliantly coloured.
The one issue I had - which is common with comics and manga - was an occasional brief story that didn't really relate to the overall plotline and as a consequence felt out of place. I imagine that's not really a problem if you're reading a single issue at a time, but as a full book it's a little aggravating.
Overall though I loved this, definitely among the best comics or graphic novels I've read so far this year.
