Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

5.0

Oh wow. I keep thinking I’ll actually be able to guess the ending to an Agatha Christie book but it’s proving to be impossible.

Murder on the Orient Express has always been one of the most interesting concepts for a murder mystery in my opinion. I tend to prefer murder mystery where the characters are stuck somewhere. (e.g a train) There’s just something about being trapped somewhere with a murderer and that sense of false security that makes a murder mystery that much better.
This book was no different. The twists and turns were just as amazing as any other Agatha Christie mystery. Every time Poirot interviewed someone I was like: ‘it’s got to be this person’ and then the next person came in and I was like: ‘wait no, IT’S THEM’
I didn’t guess whodunit and I doubt many people who have read this did guess correctly. But I absolutely loved everything about this book and I hope this review encourages you to pick it up because it’s so worth it.
I must also add that my friend (Christina, hi) gave me her Dad’s old edition to me for my birthday and oh my god it has little notes and translations and it set the up the book so well, I don’t even know why!!! It was like the notes were like 525600 years old and just transported me back to the 1930’s in Poirot’s time.
