How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent

4.0

Kitty Collins, a name not foreign to the lovers of Film Noir.

Katy Brent’s protagonist of the same name is an influencer who sells a life online quite different from the one she leads. She strives to not use the money which she is entitled to inherit as the heiress of Collin’s Cuts, a meat products company founded by her grandfather. The meat industry princess of the United Kingdom is vegan, which is ironical since Collin’s Cuts products dominate every freezer and supermarket in the country.

As mysterious killings start popping up in the city, one of the last few people that anyone would suspect is the It Girl and fabulous socialite. Also, in Kitty’s opinion the murdered does not deserve justice. The existence of these predatory men would only make the lives of thousands of women difficult. Something that started off as an accident, soon turned out to be string of rampage killings that was more therapeutic than all those expensive skincare products for Kitty. She was blooming with confidence; she found love after finally moving on from her toxic ex and was able to forget her messy family history. If only the mysterious stalker did not exist-

Hilarious and wildly addictive like the content influencers feed their audience, How To Kill Men And Get Away With It is an electric debut novel. A fun portrayal of the female rage in all its glory, it feels like a read from the Jennifer’s Body obsession era. After all we do have a thing for serial killers and who’ll do it better than a FICTIONAL, young, attractive It Girl?
