I really, really didn't want to say goodbye to this book at the end. It opened up a lot of the same feelings as when I first watched Labyrinth years ago. The sense of possibility in this story is endless, every paragraph a different turn, yet the entirety of the narrative makes whole sense.
I fell in love with wild girl Desdemona, found a very soft spot for Chaz, and found home within the creatures of the deep.
I read both a physical copy and also listened to the audio, switching between the two, and I found the audio version really came to life with the author narrating it, telling the story how it was meant to be told.
