The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro

4.0

Can you trust the person you are if you can’t remember that path that led you to there?

3.75 stars. This book brought me to tears at the end. An Arthurian-tale of how to heal old wounds of the person and the people in a time that knew only heartache. To heal by forgetting but to want desperately to remember, sure that the memories will bring comfort and completeness. Is it better to forget as a way to heal or does the forgetting leave its own scar of pain?
