THIS IS THE BEST ONE OUT OF THE TRILOGY AND I WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY ARGUMENTS ABOUT THAT!
I feel like Quan was a little less developed but omg the romance was so good! Not to mention Anna is also now one of my favorite book characters.
This book made me teary eyed one too many times.
I think there could have been one more chapter regarding Quan and Anna’s sister and her mother but it was still good nonetheless.

Still a five star read.
Quan is the weaker written of the two but there are still parts of his story I enjoy and that parallel Anna’s story very nicely.
It’s sad that her sister wasn’t in the crowd supporting her at the end but I think it was a good depiction of Anna understanding that she can’t please everyone and she has to let some people go.
On this re read i appreciate the vulnerability with the sex scenes and Anna learning that if she can’t defend herself she can’t defend the ones she loves.
Another weak part is also being told a million times that she can’t stick up for herself but I think that’s a problem with a lot of romance books they really feel like they need to hit us over the head with the characters’ struggles.
