This was definitely a ME problem -- there was a choice the protagonist made that was in character and fit with everything else, but I just couldn't keep reading after they made that choice.  Saying that probably makes it sound like they attacked someone but no, it wasn't like that, it was just a choice in an ethical area that I (apparently) have very strong emotions about!
