Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

5.0

“You make me want to live, Rowan. Not survive; not exist. Live.”

“Aelin took a step forward.
One step, as if in a daze.
She loosed a shuddering breath, and a small, whimpering noise came out of her - a sob.
And then she was sprinting down the alley, flying as though the winds themselves pushed at her heels.
She flung herself on the male, crashing into him hard enough that anyone else might have gone rocking back into the stone wall.

“They joined hands.
So the world ended.
And the next one began.”

(there are too many good quotes i'm sorry)

Setting: We're backkkkkkk in Adarlan! We visit The Assassin's Guild, Aelin's Apartment, The Vaults, and of course the Glass Castle, after a whole book of not seeing them :)

Characters: LYSANDRA AND ELIDE ARE FINALLY INTRODUCED (and of course Evangaline <3). We also meet Nesryn! And we have the first meeting between so many characters; rowan and aedion and chaol, manon and elide, manon and dorian, aedion and lysandra, and more! There's also A TON of character development/changes, especially with Dorian, Manon and Chaol. This book definitely sets up for Empire of Storms where Aelin's Court is finally established!

Overall: I don't know why I rated this 4 stars last time but it's definitely 5, especially since Arobynn finally got what was coming for him ;)
