This is a second book I've read from Zapata, and she seems to have a pattern. Really slow burn romances, just making the characters familiar to reader and to each other, and building the tension. Men are big, bulky and grumpy, women are sassy.
It's not unproblematic, the consent is a bit dubious and there are other problems too. But I still really enjoyed reading this book, it was hard to put down pretty much immediately after starting.
