This book really fulfilled my late-night fake scenarios and I could read this over and over. Second chance of childhood friends to strangers to lovers?? In a small town?? These tropes got me every time and always a hit, this book is no exception.
Childhood friends Mara and Ambrose drift apart after something that occured one night, but they rekindle their friendship years later as adults. I was rooting for their relationship development throughout the story while feeling their pain and joy. And when I said pain I mean PAIN, prepare your tissues. I want to hug Mara, Ambrose, Cat, Laura, Solomon, and basically every character for everything they've been through. You will cry a lot on the second half of the book, I even shed a tear over a maple tree :")
Taylor wrote such a beautiful story with a perfect blend of emotion and you guys should 100% read it and experience the rollercoaster <3
