this is perfect for fans of "Dead To Me" and "Good Girls", i loved this book! it's the story of a struggling-divorcee-writer-who-accidentally-becomes-a-hitwoman-to-raise-money-to-fight-for-custody-of-her-kids, and it's brillant.

there's so much going on, so many characters and moving parts, it's stressful and exciting and just fun to watch the mess play out. vero and fin are a chaotic crime duo, they are so cute and i swear the narrative kept setting up for them to fall in love in the end but whatever it's fine ig we can girlboss w platonic female friendships too! they just kept putting out fires all over the place and getting in way over their heads, it was slay.

i don't wanna spoil anything bc it's such a journey and i think it's so much better to go into this blind! but yeah this is a super fun thriller murder contemporary novel and would 10/10 recommend. i cannot WAIT to read the second book, ugh that cliffhanger!!
