imPerfect Curse by C.N. Rowan, C.N. Rowan
5.0
Book 2 of the imPerfect Cathar series, this one is as darkly funny, as traumatising and as engaging as the first. I would reiterate I love Aicha and it broke my heart in the end when she and Paul seems to have split up. I say seems because I hope to hell that they repair their friendship. Aicha is a character I adore and I want more of her.
This one takes Paul and Aicha to Lourdes where they tackle with a fae who has a penchant for seduction and for eating magic. There are enough twists and turns to keep a reader invested and while the ending wraps up the current storyline, it does leave a lot of loose ends for the rest of the series to tie up.
Once again, C. N. Rowan's prose is masterful and carried the story well. I could feel Paul's grief and his weariness that he hides behind jokes and banter.
Eager to pick up the next book to see where it goes next and whether Paul and Aicha make up their differences and be the TEAM again.
