This was better than book one but things were very repetitive and at times, the pacing was very slow. The last half was intense but not unpredictable. I could easily guess what was going to happen. I liked Nic more in this book but I still felt like he didn't grovel enough. Claire was as usual, her casual, funny self and made me laugh a lot of times with her witty dialogues. So, I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked some parts but due to the story being stretched, I was kind of bored too.
