I don't think I've read a "new" [a:Jayne Ann Krentz|2387|Jayne Ann Krentz|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1446933865p2/2387.jpg] book in a while. The Vanishing was a kobo daily deal a while back, so I decided to give it a go. I didn't like the romantic elements as much as her earlier books, they felt rushed, but I did enjoy the world Krentz created and the story was engaging. I found the action sequences and suspenseful moments to be well done and I liked the atmosphere a lot. I also enjoyed the snippets from other characters' (the villains if you will) points of view and the sense of the overarching plot.
