The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is a very unexpected book about a woman who lives on her own after dealing with a horrible husband. I felt so much heartache for her during parts of it that I almost felt as if I related to her at least emotionally. I read this book during one of the hardest times of my life and it really helped me get through it. It is a very easy book to read with really no boring parts or parts where the descriptions are just too long to want to get through. It definately is the most esay to read classic I have read and it was refreshing. I absolutely loved the writing style and the characters. The themes of the story are very important as well, dealing with feminism, values, betrayal, and deception. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to start reading classics but are intimidated by the language used. It is decently long but it really didn’t feel like that while I was reading. I am surprised how I had never heard anyone talk about this book before even though it is so good. It deserves as much recognition as Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights from the author’s sisters. My goal now is to get my friends to read it and talk to them about it!!!
