For most of this book I was disconnected.  Invested enough to continue, but wondering why it was so long.  Everything was very predictable.  Considered putting the series down after this book. But then the very last chapter had me interested again.  I think I will step away and then pick the 3rd book up right before the 4th is published and then be able to complete the series entirely.
