I liked the story and the way mental health was handled. Trying to work through their problems together, but also not expecting everything to just go away at once.
Both of them have their own struggles and it's so important that they can talk about it with each other.
Apart from that, the bdsm aspect of the story was handled alright later on, but I think it is a big no-no that Gil did not tell Barnaby about safe words right at the beginning! At some points it felt like Bee wasn't as comfortable with things at first, but thought he had to do it because Gil wanted them. Bee is completely new to anything sexual and getting into bdsm without knowing about safe words sounds very dangerous even if he trust the other person.
The ending as was very abrupt, I thought it would go on for a bit, but suddenly it was over.
That's why it is only a 3 star for me.
