A State Of Despair by Trey Stone
5.0
Suspenseful, Engaging and Thrilling. Trey Stone has done it again with "A State of Despair!" It's the second book of The Columbus Archives that has an intriguing plot. The lead protagonist, Agent Greer, is a character that exasperates me. He's got a unique way of assessing a situation, skilled with reading in between the lines and can be very cocky. His unflinching loyalty to his team and his moments of vulnerability are well written. The opening chapter begins with a gruelling interrogation and having multiple POV's made this read such a delight. Having read the first book (which is equally fantastic), the chapters involving Sean Callaway, Dana Norman Gerald Martin was a wonderful reunion. The chapters are crafted to reveal a little more about them while dropping breadcrumbs that guide the story. A 5 star read for me. For those who enjoy a psychological thriller, this one is for you. Grab your copy on December 1.
A big thank you to Trey Stone for giving me an ARC of this book. This honest review is left voluntarily.
