The Amber Maze by Christopher Bowden
3.0
This is a pleasing mystery story which unfolds when Hugh Mullion finds a key down the side of an old sofa which takes him then on a journey to find the owner and unearthing a tale of a forgotten artist.
The mystery as we discover more is really interesting. For me the book could have been a bit longer and really dug deeper into some of this. I loved the image of the amber maze and it's representation and would have loved more on this. I could picture the fire and the paintings so easily.
It's fairly quick and easy to read. I really enjoyed Hugh's attention to solving the mystery, it's a great facet of his personality. I liked that he gets so into his mysteries that he really delves into things. And he's a total bookworm which always gets my vote!
Overall really enjoyable mystery story
