Just when I think there isn't another layer to this story, Ms. Broadbent surprises me. I love this series so much. I will be adding Carissa Broadbent to my must read authors. This series felt like an epic fantasy, but with a beautiful love story. In this particular book, there is a separate story that ends so unexpectedly.

The magic wielding is beautifully written. The moral choices that the characters face is more than I would ever want to even think about.
