People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

5.0

I hopped on the bandwagon and decided to give this one a try. I'm glad I did. This friends to lovers story is fresh and fun. Poppy and Alex are each other's opposite in nearly every way, but their chemistry is apparent. I typically cringe at playful banter between a book couple, but theirs had me grinning. I like that their friendship is given ample time to blossom before romance is introduced. There is a lot of crying on Poppy's part throughout the book (which, again, I don't typically like), but I appreciate that Poppy herself addresses it as part of who she is, which helps remedy that for me. Overall, this fun, easy, heartwarming read was a winner for me.
