It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
5.0
Another Colleen Hoover that I just absolutely loved and tore my heart in pieces.
I went into this story completely blind. I didn’t read the synopsis and had no clue what I was about to dive into. And let me tell you, I am so glad I did.
When I finally read the last sentence, and even read through the Author’s note and put the book down, I had to take a moment.
This book just absolutely hit me with emotions I never knew I had. I laughed, I was angry, I cried - a lot, and I was even sympathetic, among so many other emotions I still can’t even process yet.
I really don’t want to give much, if anything, away about this plot line, because it really is a book you need to read, and one you need to go in reading blind. Trust me when I say this.
I will say this book had so much depth and Lily’s growth and transformation is the heart of this story. She was so vulnerable in every step of the way, but she took hold of her life and pushed through in such a powerful way. She is the heroine you’ve always wanted and hoped for.
There were also many characters I loved besides Lily. Atlas, Alyssa and Marshall are all characters you can’t help but love.
Please do yourself a favour and pick this one up. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy (this is now a staple when reading a CoHo book, lol).
