Lord of the Silver Bow by David Gemmell
5.0
This is the first of three books that takes characters and events from Greek history/mythology and weaves them into a compelling and entertaining retelling of the story of Troy.
As with all Mr Gemmell's books, the characters portrayed are well defined with vibrant personalities that are engaging and interesting.
The story covers a period about ten years before (Warning Spoiler Alert) the fall of Troy and includes all the elements that make a truly great story, action, adventure, battles, love, death, humour, heroism and tragedy to name but a few.
Read it, you will not be disappointed.
