I'm afraid I was just bored with this book, even more so than I prepare for when reading a classic. I found a lack of subtly throughout, and I really didn't care for the way we heard about the effects of Dorian's behavior but rarely saw what he was actually doing. It's not a bad book, but I expected to love it, and it was just disappointing.
