This book had a strong opening chapter, which does not always bode well for the rest of a book but I'm glad to report I was not disappointed.
The main character was intriguing,; the will-they-won't-they kept me on my toes; the religious and political landscape felt game-of-thrones-esque (in a good way).
The vibe of this story is band of brothers meets romance meets devious plotting. Enough to keep you excited and perfectly-whelmed. This ending was slightly rushed but it wasn't the end of the world.
A decent story
