I wasn't sure if this book was going to be good or not, because of it being free. Well, it was certainly an awesome read. I'm so glad I decided to download it!

I thought that the overall concept of the story was really interesting. I love fairy tale re-tellings, so this was very cool. It's not quite a re-telling, but I enjoyed this very much.

I loved the main character, Mina. She was really strong-willed, and you could tell that she really cared about her friends and family. I liked her personality, and I felt like me and her would be friends in real life.

I wasn't a huge fan of the romance in the book, but I can feel a love triangle coming in the second book maybe? Brody is your classic popular boy, who after an accident where Mina saves him, gets to know her and...falls for her. Then Jared comes along and knows about the Grimm Curse. There was no romance between them in this book, but like I said before, I can feel something coming on a little later...

Overall, I really really really liked it. It was filled with lots of action. For those of you that like fantasy, definitely check this one out!
