This was a surprise. I actually thought I would hate it more than I did and instead when I ignored the parts I didn't like I found a really great story overall. A few moments of that's not how that should work.
The writing definitely propels you through the story and Lazlo our love interest acknowledges the problem multiple times within the dynamic of guardian/ward. I do think if Isabeau had come to him at an older age it would be more palatable as well. Nothing comes of their attraction until she is 20/21 though.
