This book really tried to be Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, but it didn't quite hit for me. There were some humorous moments, sure, but over all I didn't find myself invested/caring about the story. The story also had lots of breaks where it would go into the history of other galactic competitions, and I felt like a few of these would have been ok but I think in this instance there were too many. It made the plot - what plot there was - fairly insignificant/rushed. the ending was a bit fun but overall this book wasn't really my vibe. Which is a shame, because I love humor like this and wanted to love this book.
