"How can he be homesick for a person?"
I'm so in love with Aiden, he needs all the hugs and I volunteer to give them to him. He's so damaged and has been so hurt and broken that he can't accept love for himself because he doesn't think he deserves it. He's afraid to let someone in because that just means they can better hurt him, so he tries to keep everyone but his brother at arm's length. Until Liam. Who was only supposed to be a secret one time hookup.
Liam though? He's so wonderful, and warm, and so steadfast in his love while still only giving Aiden what he can handle. He can go toe to toe with Aiden in the sass department, has enough patience for the both of them, and can be so earnest my heart can't handle it.
This book made me cry more than once, it's so wonderful, and beautiful, and sad, and I fell so in love with Aiden and Liam both. It also has its really funny moments that had me laughing out loud, and the smut was super hot. Aiden and Liam really are amazing and I'm so glad they finally got to be happy together ❤️
I think this might've been the first time I've read an aro-spectrum character in a romantic relationship (Aiden is demi romantic though he thought he was aro for most of his life) and I loved the portrayal of it.
Sadly, the author has chosen to unpublish the book, so it's no longer available. I had a copy from right when it was released that I only just got around to reading. While I understand her reasons, I hope maybe one day she'll rerelase this story as it deserves to be read and loved.
