Look y'all. This book? It's ... I mean, it's, well, uh, it's bonkers. That's really the only word to describe it.

Am I glad that I (finally) read it?
* Yes.
Am I glad that I read it with a book club so I had people to talk to?
* HECK YES
Did any of us fully understand the entire thing?
* Erm. Next question, please?
Would I recommend it to someone?
* In VERY SPECIFIC circumstances, yes.

Once you give in to the fact that it's not supposed to make sense (at least not yet), it's incredibly difficult to put this book down. And once you realize that even as you get close to the end you'll still be missing some critical parts that would bring everything together, thereby subjecting yourself to the reality that those parts might never come, it's ~ impossible ~ to put down.

I really enjoyed the characters, I really liked the idea of the plot, and more than anything I LOVED that I had people to talk to about this after I finished. The best piece of advice I could give you, actually? Do not read this book until you have post-finishing book buddy lined up, whether they're reading it with you or have read it before. Seriously. You'll be mad at yourself if you don't.

There's a ton more that I could say and would want to say, but at the risk of giving away anything I'll just say that I'm happy to be your post-finishing book buddy if you ever decide to give this one a try - whether it's now or in 5 years, because I know this book will stick with me for a long time.

Thanks to everyone that joined in with this month's read-along & book club talk for #BringMyBooksReads! I WAS SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE Y'ALL TO TALK TO, haha!
