Animal Farm by George Orwell
5.0
4.5 stars
The plot of this book is surprisingly good. I was expecting it to be a children's book but this book turned out to be rather a satire. The story is about a farm in England which was owned by Mr. Jones, he exploited the animals, fed them as per only need and not more. Before dying, one of the old pig, Major as they called him held an animal meeting and asked other animals to rebel against humans and take their rights. He died soon afterwards, later on a rebellion did take place. But the story then goes on about how contradictory animals' rule became to their beliefs. Was it really a rebellion for better or did the animals just got exploited, no more by a human, but an animal now.
.
This story has been compared to the Bolshevik Revolution too, the humans occupying role of Tsar, Old major as Lenin, Snowball as Trotsky, Napoleon as Stalin, etc. A very very interesting read. Will totally recommend!
