Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly
4.0
A wonderfully elucidating account of the 'hidden' black computers at Langley, the history of the civil rights movement, and of the mission of non-terrestrial travel overall. The beginning was bundled with historical details that were quite boring personally. However, when aerodynamics and the accomplishments these women had came up, I was hooked. I learnt a heap, and now I'm excited to learn ALL about aerodynamics myself. I particularly enjoyed the unexpected chapter about the soapbox derby race.
I highly recommend to anyone interested in Science. To dispel ignorance, to inform you about interesting physics, and to spur you on.
