a book about the maguire family dealing with both family issues and individual issues. linda and gerry separate after being married for 30+ years, shaking up the lives of their kids, nicole and jamie, who are already struggling with their private lives and relationships.
it's a very honest, realistic, and emotional approach to showing family dynamics. i thought the character development was especially good and it made me feel like i know the family, which is very important considering the whole point of the novel. i really appreciate how realistic their story, interactions, and relationships are, because it could be relatable to many. it's not the most memorable book i've ever read, but it's a good book ^^
