Julian and Harry really brought out the best in each other. I loved that it wasn't Julian who ultimately changed Harry into a "proper gentleman" but rather Harry who corrupted Julian into a bit of a rebel. The spice was also great! Harry making Julian voice his wants and desires, and showing him how good sex could be was hottt!
As in all of KJC's books, there was lots of commentary on privilege and social class. With Harry being from "the streets" and Julian from high society, there was plenty of chance for discussions of class differences, morals, and poverty.
I loved the found family within the Ricardians where everyone is queer and don't have to hide it when they're amongst friends, and how they all would do anything to protect each other.
This one was maybe a bit too long, and the murders and whatnot felt a little forced at the end but overall I really enjoyed it.
Super excited for Dominic and Silas's book next!
