I bought this because V E Schwab recommended it and because I thought it was completely different then it is. What I assumed would be a weird, fantastical book about books is more of a strangely grounded sci-fi with a POV character who is in the military and lots of like, short action descriptions. Not the weird slow book horror I was wanting, and that's not the books fault but I simply don't care to continue.
