Mom didn’t get better, but I will.
Wow. This is such a powerful story of courage and self love, though I wish Jannette didn’t have to go through all of that in the first place.
It’s crazy to think how much power our parents have over us when we are little. Kids know close to nothing, they mirror their environment and put their trust in their parents. So betrayal such as this from parents have long-lasting and sometimes irreversible consequences.
