Cinder by Marissa Meyer
5.0
I freaking loved this book. Like seriously where has this book been all my life? This will easily become one of my favorite series of all time, I just know it. I will admit, I was kind of disappointed that I predicted the ending at the very beginning of the book. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen. With that said, I really really loved this book. If you haven't read this book yet, I highly suggest you start as soon as possible, and put everything aside because for the next few days you're going be reading this series nonstop. I swear, even my sister who isn't a big reader loved this series and she finished all 3 books - Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress - in only a week. I loved all the parallels to Cinderella and I loved her relationship with Prince Kai. It was such an interesting world in the "New Beijing" and with the lunar people. The ideas in this book were so well developed and impressive. I loved Cinder's character. She's so nerdy but sassy and she's able to stand up for herself which I loved. I also really loved Peony and Iko and I felt really attached to those characters as well. Queen Levana and Adri were perfect villains and I disliked them with every fiber in my being, and I enjoyed seeing Cinder interact with them.
Overall, I really love Cinder. I love the world this author has created. The only problems I had with this book was the predictable ending. This is an amazing, very fun read and I enjoyed it a lot. I was able to finish the 3 books in this series in only a few days cause I literally couldn't put it down. Marissa Meyer has outdone herself.
