Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small town. Lucy married a dream guy and Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all. One night Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in Savvy's blood, leaving the town to believe she murdered her best friend. It's been years since the horrible night and Lucy has since moved to LA and started a new life when Ben Owens, host of Listen for the Lie podcast, decides to investigate Savvy's murder for his show's second season. This forces Lucy to return to the scene of the crime, a place she vowed to never set foot again.

I've seen so many glowing reviews for LISTEN FOR THE LIE and after diving in, I completely understand the hype. I'd highly recommend going the audiobook route for this one, it's impeccably done!

I really enjoyed Lucy's character - she's both witty and sarcastic, as well as easily likeable. The other characters in this book are also well-described and relatable. I'm a huge fan of an unreliable narrator when it's done well so was super excited to see how this would all play out. I adored listening to Ben take a deep dive into Savannah's murder and trying to figure it out as the story came together. LISTEN FOR THE LIE is a fast paced and engaging story with an unpredictable ending.
